Asian Food Time: Mandu (만두)
Mandu (만두), is one of the simplest korean dumplings to make. The ones in the photo are the 군만두, and are filled with ground beef, spring onion, salt, and pepper. There are other kinds of mandu out there (click here, or here), but these are the ones most commonly served in Korean restaurants (well, at least in Brisbane).

Asian Food Time: Laksa
What I would give to eat some authentic Singaporean Laksa… Oh wait, I will be~~ ^^. Laksa is a spicy soup made from chili, onion, galangal, belacan, lemongrass, candlenuts, garlic, and tumeric all ground up and formed into a paste, and fried off then combined with coconut milk to create the laksa soup. The noodles, veggies, fishball, and prawn are then cooked through and served nice and hot.

Asian Food Time (Christmas Edition): Spit-roasted Pig (Lechon)
Whilst not unique to the Philippines, lechon is by far what almost every single Filipino would want to have at any celebration. The pig, devoid of its innards and shaved of hair, is roasted, with pandan leaves placed in the cavity. I’ll be definitely looking forward to this when I’m back on home soil.
